Has anyone been getting the precipitation counters on their LDL's almanac lately? I've haven't seen it on mine in weeks, and yes we've seen precip this month.
Yep, mine is still present.

Hmm, that's odd. It's not displaying on either of my two IntelliStars or on the Belmar IntelliStar. I'll try reporting this to the Star Team.

Since always. ;)

IIRC, you don't get it because Watsonville doesn't report monthly precipitation.

On the "almanac" tab during national segments. If Watsonville doesn't report precip then maybe they can use Monterey, as that is not too far.

Mine was doing the same thing it was gone on the 22nd and it came back doing sometime this week.

Pardon my ignorance but what is a "precipitation counter"?

The feature on the LDL that shows how much precipitation fell (not including snow) so far this month.

I haven't seen that at all this month on my intellistar.

I'm thinking about requesting my cable company to downgrade their star to a Junior. It could happen since Comcast was late to update my IS.

Impossible. Cable companies (especially media giants like Comcast) don't like to hear the word "downgrade."

Besides, Comcast upgraded most of Philadelphia area XL's to the IntelliStars circa January-February 2004, before it even went out of beta. So they weren't late in upgrading.

What about the Comcast headend in Sharon, pa? They had an IS and downgraded to an XL.

They could. The ppl in my headend could care less about TWC's STARs. They probably don't even watch TWC. The Junior is way cheaper and look at my intellistar videos do you have ever see the Regional Doppler? It hardly rains/snows here so a radar is unnecessary. And a Junior lacks a radar.

If I had a Junior, I could enjoy narrationless LF Music along with a local forecast
