Ummm...vocal music, yes. Music programmer change, no. He came aboard in July of last year. Refer to the July 2007 thread.  B)
Nope, it was May 2007. I remember Matt (twcclassics) receiving an email from Steve Hurst that month and he said a new person have took over when the vocal music started.

Then where on earth did WE get the impression that July 2007 was the new guy's first playlist?

Funny, May 7 2007 was 5 years since my first taping of TWC.

Whoever got the idea that Brian started in July?

I don't know, but apparently someone did because if you refer to the July 2007 playlist thread that's what is talked about in there.

People may of just thought July was the first playlist by the new programmer because the music used was a lot different than the May 2007 playlist, but the new programmer seems to use completely different artists each month with only three songs at best being carried over from the previous month. Steve used to carry a lot of songs from recent playlists onto the next month's playlist.

Not entirely true. I've heard many songs that I haven't heard on TWC in years (Homeward Bound and When A Child Smiles to name a couple).

What about Eddie Reasoner? He's certainly not a new artist. Brian just has different music tastes than Steve did.

His tastes don't seem to include rock, thank god. As I've said before, rock and TWC DO NOT go together.

There were only 4 or 5 rock songs on that list.

While the new programmer does carry over some songs from previous years...overall I have noticed an average of 6 new CDs per month used since November 2007. We're projected to have 72 CDs used this year at that rate if it continues. That is more CD's used on TWC than any other year except 1986, during the days of large playlists. so far 35 or so CDs have been used. to compare I have  52 albums with music fatured on TWC in 2004, 53 from 2005, 51 from 2006, and just 43 CDs from 2007. The lower number of CDs is due to 2 missing playlists (feb and apr), a greater appearance of "n/a" tunes, and the fact that a few of the playlists lasted two months.

Could we request TWC to provide a time-in'd playlist? I like to see the cuts especailly for the unavailable songs...

How strange. "Homeward Bound" by Patrick O'Hearn played at 2:59 PM ET. That song is supposed to be on the primetime playlist, so it shouldn't have played then.
