New Weather Channel Local On The 8s music?

Nope.
That's just a different cut of the TWC Brand Anthemn, without the sfx.  I have a copy if you want to listen to the whole thing.

I have a feeling this music is temporary since it's odd show music would play during the LF
New 8s Music?

That sounds like their emergency feed music. I heard it a couple weeks ago, the feed during live programming failed, and it switched to the emergency feed (satellite LF & music) for a few minutes. It just kept playing production music for the different TWC shows.

On another note, I seriously wonder and hope that TWC brings back jazz music to the LF.

Huh? That's funny, I had a dream a few months ago that TWC played this music on the LF and the same cut?  I thought that would be impossible due to the track not being 60 second long but I guess I'm wrong?

It's interesting how they've decided to pick these tracks.
Maybe they're trying to their moneys worth out of this production music commissioning :p

TWC IntelliSTAR- Astoria, OR- Sep. 23, 2014- 12:48PM PDT

Never heard these narrations before:

  • "Some light rain will fall throughout the day."
  • "A steady rain. The rain will be heavy at times."

I don't suppose anyone else here has heard either narration either?  :dunno:

I don't think I ever heard it on our IntelliStar (#22878) back when we had cable up until 2008. But, I once came across a video from a few years ago (I can't remember if it was from this site or some other website), I recall seeing a video of another IntelliStar (I can't remember what location it was from), and in that video, it showed a IntelliStar with not only a HiRad outage, but also missing the description of the 36-48 Hour Forecast segment simply saying "Our Local Forecast" because of the missing data.

I noticed this morning that the number of products on the bottom of the IntelliSTAR LF are now 3 instead of 4. The Summary product doesn't appear at the end of the screen until Now transitions into Today.

Also, the time bar on the products now has white overlapping gray (similar to the IS2/IS2 Jr) where before it was the other way around.

I just noticed I have now the interactive version of TWC on channel 213 on DISH. Is anyone else also seeing this? It has the local weather conditions with the current IS icons and fonts and everything. I'll try to take a photo and upload it tomorrow. It reminds me of the DirecTV LOT8s.

So they decide to make these small tweaks but still can't seem to fix the problem of the LF skipping/jumping when transitioning to the 7-Day Forecast?  Someone needs to get their priorities straight.

Considering the limitations that exist by delivering a local forecast by such a method, I think this is as good as it gets.  I like it, though I certainly prefer having a cable Star more.
