I was wondering if there are any noticeable differences between the IS2 and IS2Jr since the graphics update. From what I can see, I can no longer tell the two apart at all.
I think the only noticeable difference is the wasted space on the right during the LF on the IS2. As far as graphics alone, you wouldn't notice
Also, the only difference between the IS, IS2HD, and the IS2Jr. is that the IS still has Allen Jackson's voice-over as it was used previously in versions 1-2. Allen Jackson also previously did the narrations on the XL. Jim Cantore does the voice-overs for the IS2HD and the IS2Jr.

Yes, except for the fact that the IS2 Jr. is not HD, there is no difference between the IS2 and IS2 Jr.

However, subtle differences exist between the IS2/IS2 Jr. and IS. These include:
- The IS2 and IS Jr scroll through numbers and letters on the CC and summary page while the IS does not.
- On the radar, the IS shows a time stamp and bar and is able to distinguish between precip types while the IS2 and IS Jr cannot.
- Difference in animation on the Daypart.  The IS is smooth while the IS2 and IS2 Jr. are more abrupt.
- Jim Cantore narration on the IS2 and IS2 Jr. and Allen Jackson narration on the IS (mentioned above).
- At the bottom where it shows what segments are coming up and how much time is left on one, a white bar fills a grey bar on the IS2 and IS2 Jr, while on the IS the white bar un-fills the grey bar.

Also, it's not that noticeable, but transitions between slides is smoother on the IS2 & jr., and when the Unit cues the local, the background and a gray box come up on the IS2 & IS2jr, then the LOT8s logo, while on the IS, the background and LOT8s logo come up then the gray box appears

When are they gonna change the LOT8s music??
I contacted @freddyflaxman and as of yesterday they're still investigating. No Timeline as of yet.

I do not understand how TWC has to “investigate” finding some songs to play. There has to be something else they could find from the production music library. Or they could recycle some of their old selections. IMO, TWC is being cheap and lazy playing the same old two songs for weeks, if not months, on end. At this point, I would rather hear complete silence on the LOT8s rather than those songs.

Guys, remember that TWC has no obligation to inform you of any of their programming presentation decisions, especially one that, to many viewers, is so trivial - local forecast music. So, cool, go ahead and get annoyed or frustrated, but remember that they are not beholdin' to you...

Does anyone else find it funny that they're playing the LOT8s "storm alert" music with a July 4th background?   I don't know, it just doesn't seem to fit.  Happy 4th of July - but let's play suspenseful music anyway. :P

It is a bit ironic they're playing the Storm Alert music during the LFs with 4th of July backgrounds, even though Hurricane Arthur has already made landfall. Maybe TWC is also warning us of many "dangerous" fireworks storms set to begin tonight.  :fear:

Does anyone else's Intellistar 1 have the same problems mine does?

Namely losing the network feed, but not the severe thunderstorm warning, mid-local forecast?

Anyone notice that the forecast boxes are TOO transparent on the IntelliStar? IIRC, the transparency was as dark as the box for the city name and time above the Forecast boxes.

Was the camera taken upside-down? I've never seen an IntelliStar error like that before!
