"As we move through the night"?  Certainly not in the NWS-issued forecast days, but now that TWC is writing the forecasts, I suppose anything's possible.

Looks like TWC finally got rid of the random jokes on the IS welcome screen as of today.

Anybody else seeing "This is your weather" on their IS?

Is there a weather alert in effect for your area? If so, that's what you'll see instead of a joke.

Edit: Now that I've taken another look at it, I don't remember that message having a period before.

Not under any weather alert at the moment.   This is the only text that was shown on all the LFs as of this morning.

The jokes have returned to my IS welcome screen as I just saw one at 4:28PM PT. Not sure why my IS was just showing only "This is your weather" earlier today.  :dunno:

As short as the local forecasts already are, I think the clock and jokes are a tremendous waste of time.  They're completely, totally, wholly, thoroughly unnecessary. :club:

Something weird happened on the last LF on my IS2. At the end of the LF, after the summary page, it went right back to the first page of the 24-hour forecast. The rundown bar at the bottom of the screen has the summary icon, but no text next to it. After that, the graphics overlapped with the satellite LF for a split second, then rather than the "window" sliding up until it disappeared, it slid to the left and out of the screen.

Has anyone ever seen this happen?

EDIT: Here's a video of the error. It's not the exact same LF, but it does show what I'm talking about.

From that video there is so much space on the right side. they could have Current Conditions for up to 2 cities in that whole spot.

I agree.  The local forecast segments are formatted specifically for 4:3, and the extra space in widescreen is left completely unused.  The local forecasts are already very lacking in products because they're only 60 seconds long now, and there's so much of the screen that has nothing except a pretty picture.

Yeah, the fact that the HD forecasts have all that wasted space just baffles my mind.  I thought the whole purpose of HD was to have that extra space be used for something.  An added bonus.  That blank space is just taking the bonus away.  I would rather see them extend the boxes to fill the screen than put a sidebar or something there.

Woah woah woah, since when was 21865's CC city changed to Mount Holly?! I know for a fact that's served my my STAR 21872... 21865 serves the river side communities between Delran and Bordentown. I know before the WATT relaunch the city was Burlington, which was far more appropriate.

Also, I noticed some of my radar cities were altered today.  Anyone else encountered any changes to theirs?

I know. That sucked because I could get conditions for Bordentown on the bottom of the screen.  Now it says Cinnaminson and Joint Base MDL? What's the purpose. I also notice that a lot of commercials are being overlaid on top of WATT.
Also on 11/12/13 it went from Burlington to Mt. Holly with the LDL cities still normal but after about a month or so it changed to MOUNT HOLLY and it looks like that 21872 now serves Bordentown. It also did from to my knowledge 2006-2008.

Sounds to me like Comcast combined our two headends, which probably explains why my radars/maps were shifted to focus more on Mt Holly as opposed to Fort Dix.

I also notice that a lot of commercials are being overlaid on top of WATT.
Maybe your cable headend might be cueing local commercials during the commercial break. Most cable companies had been doing this since the dawn of cable television. If the headend stopped cuing local commercials during the commercial break, you would have seen the WATT bar uninterrupted. Most cable companies also do this on CNBC during the stock market coverage. Whenever a local commercial is cued on CNBC, the cable system interrupts the stock ticker. The same thing also happens on all of the ESPN networks. Whenever a local cable commercial is cued on one of the ESPN channels, the "Bottom Line" score ticker also gets interrupted during the local commercials before returning to the main national feed.
TWC had always been like that since the WeatherStar III era back in the '80s. Whenever any STAR model receives a local severe weather message (Watches/Warnings/Advisories, etc.), the cable company could interrupt the severe weather crawl or scroll every time a local commercial is cued. Local EAS alerts are like that too.
Classic TWC, Weatherscan, legacy WeatherSTARs, and classic Prevue/TV Guide fan.
