TWC Local on the 8's Squeezeback- Spokane, WA- Oct. 14, 2010- 3:38PM PDT

I wish TWC would use this squeezeback again during long-form, which features the big LDL. Then I think they should use the smaller LDL full time during the rest of the long-form program just like they used to do, instead of cuing the small LDL at :08/:38, :28/:58, etc.

I think I'm in the minority, but I miss the large LDL.  It contained so much more weather information, and, considering how weather information is at such a premium on TWC right now, it could be very useful.

The weather information is definitely a plus, but there's just too much going on on-screen for me personally. The lower 3rd looks too compressed, and it makes the frame really bottom-heavy, visually. Even now, with the show title, motion-layered (and icky) red lower 3rd, and rather poor-looking LDL at the bottom of the screen, it looks cluttered. There's no graphical unity. Shame they didn't take all of the new graphics in the same direction as the previous WUWA and final YWT graphics set-those were slick, and professional looking. Wx Center Live just looks cheesy as all get-out, and don't even get me started on the map framing....

Thanks Jim for posting that, the squeezeback during longform is what i was trying to refer to.

and for those viewers with the IS2 they could finally see the Marine Product on the LDL.

Personally, I would just want to see something that I could have weather access with. The way they had the format from January 2011 through July 2011 is fine to me. (16% LDL on at all times; squeezeback on the 8s)

LDL still running during the commercials even before Local on the 8s.

That'd be awesome. ESPN has that with their Bottom Line, and it's also a way to know for sure you have it on TWC. The increased ad time also makes this a better idea.

Wasn't the IntelliStar update scrapped? That's not TWC's priority right now. LOT8s just get shorter all the time anyway. Enjoy them while they're still around.
