Are the 2-minute LFs only on certain dayparts right now? Yesterday, I saw that the LF at 5:28 PM CT was only :90.

So far it's been sporadic since the Extended Coverage started, it should return when the normal schedule begins.

The LFs I've seen today are back to 90 seconds, even at times ending in :28 and :58, with the daypart forecast but no radar.

On the music front, I agree that instrumentals should be used for the LF, particularly during severe weather.  Now, for the record, I'm not anti-vocal music.  I listen to vocal music as well as instrumentals, but the vocals are more likely to put me to sleep.

TWC is still doing Extended Coverage which is why the 2 Minute locals aren't showing

They need to change the playlist. I want to hear some new instrumentals even if its only 3 or 4 songs.

Looks like the 2 Minute Locals were only on Tuesday at 12:58pm and 1:58pm ET, the K Flavors are showing at :28/:58 and DE Flavors at :08-:18/:38-:48.

I guess it wasn't meant to be.  This makes the theory that the 2-minute locals were some kind of fluke that much more believable.

Additionally, we've got the same old playlist from January (or possibly December) from what I've heard so far on the LFs.  There was a time when I looked forward to the first day of every month due to the chance to hear a new playlist, but that's gone by the wayside.

TWC's contract with Traffic Pulse ran out quite some time ago.  I don't remember exactly when, but it's been a couple of years that there have been no traffic reports on the local forecast.

I wondered what happened to the traffic pulse. Glad I know now.

not surprised, that's why I didn't record anything after hearing nothing from the star team in the first place

i already contacted the star team on Wednesday and no reply from them or the feedback forums. i just think its funny how a rumor like this could start an uproar

A lot of people in that department were cut and those who weren't are more busy then ever, so don't expect a speedy reply. Why do you think they haven't been on here since October? Besides whether its 1, 1:30, or 2 minutes. At least you still get your forecast. Be grateful the LOT8s is still around.

I ended up getting a speedy reply yesterday about the situation (i didn't have time to check my email since i been busy) here's the reply i got.

Currently, there are no plans to bring back the 2-minute local. The locals are re-looked at each quarter so the times may eventually change again.
