Somebody questioned about the recent elimination of the 2-minute LF flavors on one of my recent YouTube videos, apparently in a pissed-off mood:

Can't those sons of bitches at least put the :58 LFs back to 2 minutes, so people can see their marine/tides and the daypart forecast?

This was probably answered already, but was there a reason behind the elimination of the 2-minute LF flavors?

More ads=more irritation.

I'd cut back more live programming before I cut out time in the LF. While TWC hates to believe it, most people watch for the LF.

Has the Tides screen been completely removed from the IntelliStar lineups? All I see nowadays on 24629 (on both 1:00's and 1:30's) is the Marine Forecast

The 2-minute LFs still air at 4:28AM ET on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so the tides product is still around.

That doesnt explain why they cant just move the product around though..

Air quality also doesn't show on the shorter LFs. They really should consider modifying the product playlists.

Is it true that the overnight playlist only runs from 1-2am now?

Yes Mike where have you been I think it's a fluke though one of you should contact twc about this. The morning list starts at 4am now too but the other daypart times are unchanged

Even on weekends? During the week I understand with the new morning show format.

Yeah. The overnight playlist stops when FO starts at 4 and all I hear then is the vocals from morning

The LDL is in holiday mode,  on during taped programming.

I noticed a new IS corner bug for "Deadliest Space Weather" at the 7:38pm ET LF just now, and it's the animated one on the DirecTV IntelliStar...

A new ID screen premiered today, and it's using the same music from last year's Winter ID screens. It's stock footage of snow-covered grounds with a person running across it at the top (you can only see the feet of the person)
