This song from the June 2012 playlist just played at 8:28pm ET. Ironically, I used this song in an emulation today.

June 2012 Overnight Song

"Rainy Day" by CC Gilmore. I'm watching TWC now it looks like they went to all instrumentals.

I heard a Steve Glotzer like song at :38 followed by "Montana Girl" by Gooding at :48

That's a CC Gilmore song? Hmm, I would have never guessed that.  :o

Recently I've heard The Vocal Local narration uses "Winds could occasionally gust over 40/50/60 mph. early/late" and now he said "Winds could occasionally gust over 70 mph. early". That's because of Hurricane Sandy threatening New York City.

If TWC just switches to instrumentals during storms and times of higher ratings, that tells me that they are embarrassed of the vocals and know it's unprofessional. Just stick with one choice so you don't need to alter the playlists. Just my opinion.

Even though Sandy is the top priority right now, there has not been one LF at all in 24 hours. That's gotta be the longest time no LF has aired due to extensive hurricane coverage :o and I'm assuming to going to continue for a while due to coverage of Sandy's aftermath

EDIT: An LF has aired as of 8:28AM PT.

LF's are definitely back, and I outlined in another post how it is a shame that commercials are prioritized over our local forecasts, but at the same time I prefer no LF's over that half-baked squeezeback. I also second this post:

I agree. They should just stick with a more professional type of music [instrumental].

Hi Alex,

The instrumental playlist is for severe weather, and it will end after Sandy coverage dies down.

I appreciate it,
Melissa
