 I should really think before I post. That was so obvious, I was only thinking about the SC/NC part being an abbreviation for North/South Central, I wasn't even thinking about the fact that "CTL" as a whole stood for central.

I had thought some of the 11am-2pm hours used the LDL Squeeze back LF  at :10 and :40 after like the do with WCL. Today it was not used for Day Planner at 1pm ET.

It's never been used on DP since the integration of the afternoon longform block

Right it's used at 2pm. I forgot since I don't watch those hours since the schedule change.

The heat safety tips screen showed up on my IS at :58, due to the heat index being 100°. I wish I had recorded it. >_<

The heat index was only 100, and they showed the HST screen? Ours doesn't show unless it is 115º+ and there is an open slot

IIRC, yours showed at a 105° value last year.. at any rate, it really varies by geographical location (I think).

Nope, the first and only time I saw it last year, it was at 120. Either way, it does vary by location, similar to the Heat Advisory criteria at the NWS. I would think that since Pavel was in Chicago, 100 would be nothing compared to the forecasted 110 heat index reading today. Then again, maybe it was manually triggered due to their Excessive Heat Warning.

There's still an excessive heat warning in effect, so I'm guessing that's why. The HST screen only shows up on 2:00 LFs, though.

4 years ago to this date. I wish they would use it again but it probably sounds too jazzy for them :(

I noticed the red outline box on the seven day for possible severe weather.  Last time I saw it was back when Irene was going to hit us back last August.  Has it been brought back?

The red boxes only appear whenever extreme weather is prominent in your area and has to be activated by TWC manually. It's never been discontinued, but maybe nothing major has happened between now and Irene to where your area's IntelliStar would need to have the red box utilized.

Strange. We've had significant weather since Irene but I've not seen the red box on the seven day until yesterday. Thanks for the explanation.

Though it's an NBCUniversal station and has probably happened before, it was interesting and just a little different to see TWC advertising a show on E! for their LOT8s bumper.
