Ok. It's been so long since since I've seen a cable system ID and the old one used a different font.
What exactly do you mean by the "old one"? Do you mean the STAR XL? The different platforms each have different fonts for the ID screen

I don't know what the criteria for this is, but I wonder if I'll see the Heat Safety Tips screen today? Eh, probably not since they shrunk the LFs down in time, there may not be enough time to show it. :hmm: :(

EDIT: I forgot to mention my ID is displaying info again.

"A few isolated thunderstorms developing during the afternoon under partly cloudy skies."

Has anyone heard this narration? To me, it sounds a little weird.

I was thinking pre Intellistar of this ID font from the Weather Star 3000.

That's the 4000, not the III.

I noticed just before the 1:58pm ET Local Forecast TWC ran a "Happy 4th of July" animation for the "Now your local on the 8's: promo.
Do they usually run holiday promos early?

I'm surprised they bothered to show an LF at 11 past. I figured they would have skipped that one.

A question about the alert scrolls on the IntelliStar.
On the alert scrolling now on FiOS it's just four alert tones at the start of the text scroll.
If I'm correct there's another version with 3 beeps and then a voice played saying something similar to "A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for your area."
Who determines if it's 4 beeps and no voice or 3 beeps and the voice?

Usually you'll hear 3-beep narration 3-beep at initial issue of the warning then after the first completion of the product, it will go to the 4-beep pattern until the warning expires. Do correct me if I am wrong.

Sometimes when it first starts over with the warning the narration still plays like it did the first time, then the third time it's the 4 beeps. I've seen that happen numerous times.

Usually you'll hear 3-beep narration 3-beep at initial issue of the warning then after the first completion of the product, it will go to the 4-beep pattern until the warning expires. Do correct me if I am wrong.
Occasionally however the warning crawl restarts entirely (you can tell when the crawl flashes a split second), even if there isn't an update. When this occurs you'll also hear the narration.

Been meaning to ask this for a while, what does the "TL" stand for when they show the forecast for South/North Central regions?

I keep thinking it's short for CTL = Central but i might be wrong

my area ended up getting the red box this morning for the 4th
