Does anyone's IS show the 8-city regularly? On mine, it only seems to show up at random times at :28 and :58.
That's completely normal on STARs w/o marine products or STARs with marine products and no air quality

It mainly depends on what is on the text-based forecast, i.e. how long it takes to narrate each page, and whether there are 3 or 4 dayparts on it. Then of course the local radar and weather bulletins also can kick the 8-cities off the playlist.

The text on the bottom of the Week Ahead screen was updated for the redesign:

What severe thunderstorms? Good thing they took the box off yesterday.

The IntelliSTAR in Astoria, OR isn't showing the marine forecast product and instead skips directly from the air quality forecast to the tides forecast, and the blue LDL and the sponsorship bug (The Facebook/Twitter and others) are running over the satellite LF for the last few seconds (picture shown on attachment.) Anyone else with coastal STARs experiencing this glitch?

Whenever that happens, it usually is a local issue.. and the coastal products were fine on 24629

Hmm, I always assumed TWC uses the SPC to determine using the wording of "Some storms may be severe" on LFs, but that can't be the case here today where they're using that wording because weren't not under any slight risk today, but we are tomorrow and they use that wording for Sunday also.

EDIT: Since this post this morning, the SPC has added N. GA/SC into a slight risk for severe wx today.

Did they remove the vocals from that Widespread Panic song?

That's too bad. Music like that is more suitable for getting weather information. I don't think songs by ADELE will get more people to watch because the average viewer does not watch TWC for that reason.

Only 6 months ago we heard music by Euge Groove!

Has the TWC music management committee changed? I don't even know who's in charge, but I have to wonder. This is a pretty big shift in music genres for national television. People do notice.
