It might be premature for me to say this, but it looks like my IntelliStar unit is out, I've been getting the Satellite feed for about the past hour.

A little over 24 hours and it's still out. I'll wait until the end of the week to report it if it's still out then.

I wouldnt even wait that long, maybe tomorrow report it.

Well I didn't want to jump right into reporting it too soon. It seems to be similar to the situation in October 2009 where it was out a couple of days then it came back so that was why I was gonna wait a while before I report it in case they already know and could be fixing or replacing it or something.

Actually, it looks like this is a local issue. The local forecast cues normally, but then during the text-based forecast,  it freezes and aborts to the satellite LF. The local LDL never cues then during the proceeding segment. I've had this happen a few times before. Once the junk forecast data that's making the STAR crash is expired, the issue should be solved.

Definitely a problem locally. My STAR is working fine.

Today during my lunch period the teacher I usually help out with had TWC on his TV today, and it seems my school is served by IntelliStar 24629.. (Tampa) I would have expected though that the eastern suburbs of Hillsborough County had a different STAR because the weather out here can vary to that of the city of tampa.

If TWC is really going to use different genres then the March/April 2012 Playlist will be a test of future playlists to come.

The whole purpose of the narration of the IS is so people who are visually impaired or have short attention spans can hear the forecast, they're not going to remove it. The XL was limited in narration anyway saying only what 3 phases for the CC, LF, and the EF. so it makes since that they removed it.

Probably disabled because they want to put vocal music  again the future, which doesn't surprise me at all.
