How long has the little note underneath the forecast conditions for the 7-day outlook (as an example, they had a little note about hurricane conditions possible in the days before Hurricane Irene hit and the day where the conditions were possible had a red rectangle around it) been there? It just suddenly appeared like a few weeks ago.

About 6 weeks.

TWC sure loves to recycle old stock footage, this looks like the same stock footage they used of the lady waiting in the rain for a taxi from the "Live By It" era  decade ago.

Why, oh why, couldn't we see said era again? This was their best, always will have been.

Omg yeah, before 9/11 I would always see that promo on air! I loved the graphics, music and the scene with the lady waiting for a taxi in the rain. Live by It brings back great memories, definitely some goodtimes for twc and the world alike

I'm feeling nostalgic now.
I really miss Evening Edition. I think it is still a load of trash they knocked it off air.

Today the L-Bar has cued for every LF, with the exception of LFs at :28 and :58. Wonder if this is going to become a permanent thing?

I hope not, it's better when it is full screen.

It's even happening during WCL! This is odd! It's  nice seeing 1 more minute of live coverage however.

I will be in contact with someone at NBC/TWC if it does. I was noticing the same and was confused.

And what exactly are you going to do? You expect them to take you seriously? :dunno: They'll probably put you on hold and laugh at you.

No, actually... I can't see the difference between the two pictures of the crater because it's the size of a Picture in Picture on my 42" HDTV because of the L-bar. I officially hate the L-bar. It makes me want to hit Exit on my remote because I think the program guide is on if I'm not paying attention and look over.

I don't see the point of the L-Bar. Just to get a minute and a half of more coverage? Really??? TWC must be really desperate. It seems that this would be a permanent thing. Looks like we may need to take some action  :club:

I don't think it's going to be a permanent thing. They were just trying to expand their coverage of the flooding, I'm sure. I can also assure you that any action we would take would be a joke.

I think the late 1980s-early 1990s was TWC's best era.  Great OCMs and beyond superb weather coverage.
