I read that a fire weather warning, aka a red flag warning, is supposed to go in effect in Spokane and surrounding areas from 1PM PT to 8PM PT later today because of low humidity, high temps and breezy conditions.

Now here's my question: does anyone if a scroll is supposed to appear at the the bottom of the screen on TWC when the FWW goes in effect, or does it even exist and has anyone ever seen any scrolls of this warning? Just need a heads-up.

Thanks,
TWCJim :)

Nothing will appear on your IntelliStar for a Red Flag Warning.

I now have the red box highlighting Sunday on my IS's Week Ahead screen for possible heavy rain associated with Hurricane Irene.

No Vocal Music was played during Wake Up with Al due to Special Weather Coverage of Hurricane Irene.
I'm a weatherman. I love my weather. I would love to go any trips if the weather is nicer.

I wonder if the Storm Alert music will return because of Irene approaching the US

I also had a red box for when SWFlorida was in the storm cone. I should take a pic if another storm forms.

I wonder if TWC will activate the Satellite product for IntelliStars along the east coast in anticipation of Irene?

I already see it on a regular basis when the close-up radar isn't needed.

The actual Satellite product or the Radar/Satellite? The Satellite product is only typically seen on the west coast, and in some circumstances in the past on the east coast when a large blizzard or hurricane was approaching.

Sorry - the radar/satellite.  With a landfalling (or approaching) hurricane, I think the radar/satellite would be more valuable than just the satellite.

The red box disappeared about a day and a half ago when it became clear that the Daytona Beach area won't have too much of an impact from Irene.
