IMO, the daypart forecast really needs to be shown more.
Based on the recent changes, you kinda got your wish there :blushing: :P

You guys are overacting way too much here, and let's calm down the language as well.  What if TWC was just testing a new concept during extended coverage for highly significant weather moments?  If a major hurricane is about to make landfall or there's an incredible amount of severe weather going on at once, this isn't a bad mode to have ready.  TWC is supposed to do live weather first when things are very active.
I agree. I remember once earlier this year, they halted an LF for severe weather coverage once a tornado warning got issued, but I can see why they are making moves like this.. when that LF I speak of was halted, only satellite viewers or viewers with no STAR got to see it, as the STARs continued to finish up their cycles.

the reason everyone is overreacting is because it's a change no one is used to yet.

Just because people aren't used to it ins't an excuse to overreact or use unacceptable language.

Someone please bring me a bucket, I am melting down here.

You are not the only one. It's in the triple digits in South Carolina too :P

EDIT: I have never seen that heat safety tips screen before.  Probably cause it hasn't gotten that hot here.

Ha-ha, I even mentioned in my post that I wasn't trying to cause drama, but, of course, it happened, and I'm probably the instigator to blame for bringing it up. Since I haven't been paying much attention to TWC lately, I didn't know what to anticipate. I just didn't like what I saw and nothing more. If I really wanted to, I could've just changed the channel. End of story. I don't know if the overreacting comments were directed towards me or not, but I don't really care about the change (if it ever happens). I just would've missed the music. For a hurricane or other weather phenomenon, it actually looks like a good idea, I agree. But I think we can put this petty predicament at peace (puh puh puh) and move on.

Am i not the only one who can't stand the 48hr Text Based Local Forecast? i wouldn't mind seeing it discontinued in favor of the 36hr or 24hr on all dayparts.

Edit: the Squeezeback is on at 11:18am

Notice when there's more Snow expected during the Winter Season, the text might say "Potential Winter Weather expected (name of the day), Additional details available now on weather.com".
I'm a weatherman. I love my weather. I would love to go any trips if the weather is nicer.

Does anyone have a clip of the HD LF intro with the red summer sun or know the link to one? They showed that in 2008, and I haven't seen that in so long. TWC showed HD intros in 2008 to promote the new channel--there was clouds, rain, the sun, and others. I was just curious if any of you have a clip of that. Thanks!

are you seeing any screens like record heat, heat safety tips, or anything else that isnt regularly seen? if all other segments are narrating properly then it must be that your STAR doesnt have time to narrate the CC to make room for other products
