I've been told the August playlist is scheduled to start around the 3rd or 4th.

I wouldn't keep my hopes up. I'd be surprised if they did start it next week, given TWC's pattern with the playlists.

I'm not holding my breath TWC has other things to worry about and music isn't even in their thoughts right now.

Im really considering my parents into getting the TV service through FiOS. Reason being is that recently DirecTV has been problematic to us such as the receiver not powering on even by resetting it and rain fade has been occurring more often as of late

With FiOS the standard is that you can have up to 3 outlets in your house and we have the employee discount in effect we could probably get its basic HD service for maybe what we payed with DirecTV or lower

What Im worried about is the STAR at the headend here. It serves 5 counties that are about 100 miles in width and almost 200 miles in legnth (Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, and Sarasota). The same WxScan serves those counties and I wonder how the STAR is gonna handle CC. Unlike Comcast and other major cable television providers Verizon in a metro area only has one headend.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

I wish TWC could make one minor change, bringing back the 2 min flavor during the :18/:48 slots.

Well, it can happen, but you wouldn't see a Record Temperature Screen back then.  :P

Are you sure?  The WeatherStar I and WeatherStar II local forecasts way back in the day actually had some "narrative" screens that got dropped in the mid-1980s (around 1986), so it's quite possible that something like that could have been on the local forecast!

Guys, please wait until either the playlist starts or is released before posting a new playlist topic.  Martin made it very clear that he didn't like how you all were doing this earlier last month:

Ive asked before that topics regarding playlists not be started until after the playlist starts or a playlist has been released
