That flavor has been in use since WUWA premiered. It airs at :18/:48 during WUWA and at :48 from 7-10 weekdays and 11-2 everyday. It was actually in use before that as well however, from 2002-2004.

This was recorded on my trip to Atlanta, GA back in June. My tuner was acting up, so after about 30 seconds of being up, it would freeze. But I thought I would at least get a partial clip, because most of us rarely get to see the national blue LDL bar anymore (unless you have Dish). It cut out in the middle because my tuner froze mid-LF.

Does anyone miss the previous icon set?
Yea but the past is the past I suppose. Funny how everyone "hated" the previous icon set and now that the icons have a more XL look people still hate them  :hammer:

I think what throws people off the most is the same icons are used for several different conditions (i.e. showers/light rain, and rain use the same icon, as well as drizzle/few showers, thunderstorms/strong thunderstorms, and isolated/scattered to name a few).

Wow, this is a FIRST!!
Our 3 cities on our LDL are Memphis, Germantown, and Horn Lake.

I asked the STAR Team to change Germantown to West Memphis, and Horn Lake to Southaven. They made the changes that I wanted, but we still have Germantown on our LDL! Yes, that's right, we now have 4 CITIES on our LDL!!

I just seen the XL use an unusual 1 minute flavor. I dont think I have seen it before.
The flavor was: Current Conditions > Daypart Forecast > Extended Forecast > Radar.

I was greeted to a surprise when I arrived at work this morning as someone had TWC on through a separate cable network (not Comcast) that is used for the Virginia Tech campus.  Blacksburg, VA has a WeatherStar 4000, and it didn't show any obvious signs of degradation.  It's nice to know the 4000s are still out there and going strong. Can you post a video or picture? Not a surprise hearing this since many college campuses and their own cable systems use older TWC Stars like the Jr at Rutgers and Penn State. (both replaced by DirecTV now)

I don't think I'll be able to do so at work as they don't want people taking pictures around or inside a federal government office, but I'll try if I see it somewhere else.

Was it on your YT account? I saw a video of the Wakefield, VA 4000 but IDK if its that same 4000 we're talking about.

It seems Virginia is a common place to find 4000s. The one Patrick is talking about is exclusive to Virginia Tech and reports from Blacksburg.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~
