Around May 2005, IIRC.
I'd look at the logo if I were you. ;) :P

I remember the maps looking like that back in 2005 during Katrina, only thing was the Satellite LF had mix-cased letters in 2005 on the Metro/3-Day/Radar-Satellite map titlebars until the new on-air titlebars were implemented into the Thunderstorm/Precip forecasts, which occurred either in late 2005 or early 2006. I don't know when the textured snow got changed as I never watched TWC much in 2006. So my guess would be when the icons got upgraded.

That first picture was from the meltdown on 1/22/08, which reverted a lot of things on the satellite LF. But I'm pretty sure it was in 2005 as I stated, a few months before the BWTL relaunch.

Right, but wouldn't the titlebars and logo have reverted as well? I thought the relaunch was in August 2005.

The Satellite LF is starting off with the Precip Forecast than going to a Watches/Warnings slide.

Watches/Warnings have always been first. If it only needs one screen, the Precip Forecast would be replaced followed by the Thunderstorm Forecast.

Was the outdoor activity forecast discontinued? I haven't seen it on my STAR in nearly a year, even after the traffic maps being discontinued. I still, however, see the schoolday forecast during the school year.

It's still alive and well. I suppose because you have more products on your STAR, the OAF gets bumped to a lower priority.
