Flow and incident narration was disabled shortly after the overview maps were introduced. They were put back in place in markets where the overview maps were removed.  Now that the overview maps are gone, I wouldn't be surprised to see the narration for incidents and flow come back.

wait, are the overflow maps gone for good? i thought it was only temporary.

i liked the overflow map feature. :(
Yea its a shame they are gone for good. I had hoped to have them for my area at some point

They needed to go out here. Major freeway growth since 2003-04 meant highways weren't coded properly or didn't show up. There were many Unavailable stretches, highways coded as major roads without color, and one stretch of highway that ended before an actual interchange. I even gave the notice to the STAR Team: they were added late, though.

The maps were outdated even when they came online for us, essentially.

I think if it wasn't being used as back up music they probably would use some of the songs in the regular playlist.

I wish the June playlist starts already. I'm getting tired of playlists ending and starting late and then continues as a crappy bimonthly playlist, which gets boring after a while. It's not the same anymore with playlists starting on the first day of the month (last time they did this was March 2009 playlist). This is the reasons why TWC needs to go back to monthly playlists and never do any crappy bimonthly playlists again :hammer: :club:. Overall, this year's playlists are horrible (all of them are bimonthly).

* Felix wish that the next playlist starts.

I feel for ya, and the lack of smooth jazz and the repeats. Maybe when the HD Star comes out, music will be a priority for them once again.

The HD STAR has delayed tons of other things, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's also the reason why playlist changes have been delayed so much.

Or maybe it's because the average person doesn't notice when the playlist changes, or if it lasts for one month or two.

Actually they do, I've gotten many comments and messages on YT from casual TWC viewers/average TWC viewers over the years who like the music asking about the next playlist and when they would air it.

Hmm, I'm surprised. I didn't think average viewers really knew what a "playlist" was (not to call them stupid or anything). If a song is not overplayed and many different ones are used, the average viewer may have no idea that there is certain music for a certain month.

So how long has the current playlist been out? :dunno:

TWC even proved this back when the first smooth jazz CD came out in 2007.

I didn't say viewer's didn't like or pay attention to the music. I'm just saying the average viewer won't notice if the playlist goes more than a month without changing.
