Here's the problem with animation of icons on the LF app: look closely in this video, and the icon at the beginning doesn't even look fully transparent.

HOLY **** IT'S SNOWING IN FLORIDA!!!!

You don't have TWC HD anymore? You don't upload those clips anymore

I do still have it, but I just have no way of compressing the videos I record of it into 16:9.

Say Zach, I don't suppose you could record the two Chris Geith songs this month in stereo?? I know for a fact they're not gonna be released on his new CD....
In regards to the jr emulation, sorry about that. I did make one, I just forgot to send it. ;)

I haven't been around my TV lately but I can try to hook up an audio jack from my receiver to my laptop and record it through Audacity.

Finally, I got a reply to a PM I sent to a user who lives in Davison, on the east side of Flint. He got a video up of his Intellistar:
Local on the 8's - Snow Storm in Flint/Davison, Michigan 2-10-10

Definitely one of the most interesting configurations I have seen. Note the seemingly bigger focus on the many smaller towns dotted about east central Michigan (i.e. the use of Ithaca, my mom's home town, on the metro map instead of Alma which is twice as big). Also check out the error with Oakland and Pontiac on the bottom of the metro map- plus, Oakland is the name of that county, and no such city exists. Also note the big focus on Flint.

Is the CC narration on the IntelliStar disabled during the LF that comes on at :48 during Weekend Now?  :dunno:

It doesn't always play depending on how long the screen shows. I noticed this happens a lot when all three traffic screens and the 8-city obs are both showing (which shortens the duration of the CC screen).

For those of us non-traffic viewers, there are all kinds of factors that affect whether or not the CC screen displays and for how long. On the :08/:38, I can sometimes see the normal length for the front page along with narration... then I may see the metro map AND the 8 city or it will go straight to the 8 city. Sometimes I see it, but it is not on long enough for it to be narrated... and it goes to the metro map and then the 8 city. If the local radar is showing, then I will not see the front page at all at :08/:38, but if the weather bulletin is displaying (without the local radar), then I will see a brief appearance of the front page between the bulletin and the 8 city. Sheesh, it's crazy lol.

Thanks Mike and Aaron for explaining it to me, it's pretty rare for me to not hear CC narration so I thought it was odd not to hear it at all during that time when WN was on.

The presence and duration of the CC screen also depends on how many dayparts there are on the text-based forecast. On rare occasions I see it here at :08/:38.

I kind of wish the CC screen appeared every time though as that seems higher in priority to me than some of the other features that you sometimes see in a LF.  It must be a challenge to handle all these screens when special ones are needed during severe weather.

I agree, it is a high priority as many of the icons look too much like each other. It's obvious how the front page CC can be added back to the :18/:48 LFs... do you really need to see both the metro AND regional guesses in the same LF?

omg, this is ridiculous. Shaft, Olympic Spirit, and The Theme From Jurassic Park have anchored the past 90 minutes. I need to hear how Eminence Front sounds on 22842.
