I was doing a search on Flickr for "weather channel" and found this:

The uploader says it's from Alaska. Poor 4000. :(

EDIT: And an XL from International Falls, MN! :o

There's still legacy stars out there, but you just have to know where to find them.

I'd feel bad if I were looking at that International Falls LF as that's real cold!

I know of a few locations that may still have undiscovered legacy STARs in northern Michigan, but I am not in the position to record a STAR I have already seen. Even though Charter does not list locations in Rogers City and Gaylord, I think those may be places to try. When I went to Marquette, my original intent was to stay in Newberry, a small town in the eastern part of the UP. I'm also looking at Oscoda and Tawas City.

me too I heard they still used v2. Not surprised with a legacy in AK. There are bound to be dozens of legacies in the remote AK communities

That shot was definitely from the Valentine's Day Blizzard of 2007, so I was certainly watching my LF at that time.

I thought they were always the same flavor, since the idea is generally to air the same flavor twice an hour during normal programming

Hmm, that's odd... I heard "Turning Pages" by Mark Krurnowski

I meant to say I was hearing it on my STAR, most likely because of the severe weather moving in.

The :28 LF used to have its own flavor during middays that was somewhat similar to the :08/:38 flavor, except it had the getaway forecast instead of the metro/regional maps. Now it uses the same playlist the :58 LF uses.

No opener preceded the 4:58 PM LF, even though there was a commercial break before that.

That's how they've been doing long-form all weekend. I guess they're trying out a new schedule for Weather Proof and Cantore's Stories.
