 at this traffic map glitch

I have seen that glitch since July 2008 most recently just last week, but it was much worse. I know the IntelliStar doesn't technically "degrade" like the 4000, but couldn't these glitches be considered a different kind of degradation?

Wow, that's a high ID. Must be a new STAR. Is the configuration still the same? When I was in my dentist's office last week (they have the same Willow Grove-based STAR), the ID was the old one, 21863.

configuration looks exactly the same, i usually record wuwa every morning, so i gotta see between which days it changed. there was nothing wrong with the machine, unless something is happening behind the scenes and we arent being told. for example, a machine upgrade because of something TWC is up to or in the works to do.. i do know that ive had 21863 since 2003.. my area is always picked on to be the first for new stuff, so who knows what..?

okay on the 17th, it was still 21863, on the 18th it was 29427. heres a video depicting those day-to-day differences.

IntelliStar 21893 changed to 29427

As far as the traffic map goes... no it's not degradation at all. The map is actually a product of it's own and is not built into the STAR. The map is actually on it's own computer at TWC and is more or less "inserted" into the LF.

Wow, your local forecast uses the same exact metro map the Bensalem-based unit used to use (now it uses a map centered on Lower Bucks instead on Philly).

Hmm, is it normal for Intellistars that do not have the AQ forecast product available to show All 4 CC products (Front page with narration, metro CC, 8 cities, and regional map, in that order) on :38/:58 LFs? I also noticed the appearance of the 8 city product on the :28/:58 flavors as well. I just find this odd since I never saw this in Alpena, and it does not appear as though that unit has the AQ forecast available either.

It depends on many things, such as whether or not a local radar is present, or how much narration is used on the text-based forecast product.

I'm not seeing this issue here... is anyone else still getting it or was it fixed?

I think it was fixed at some point during the 5 PM EST hour, as I believe I saw it working correctly at some point before I left.
