There appears to be a nationwide IS2 Jr outage going on right now, including the Jr in Astoria. The IS2 HDs and XDs are working normally according to comments I've received on YouTube.

Would have thought they stopped using songs with vocals since the Local On The 8's is narrated by Jim Cantore. The 3:18 PM Local Forecast used "Light Up the Sky" by Duncan.

Really sad TWC went from full on 2 minute locals with regular playlists to just two dinky 1 min locals every hour. Anyone kept tabs on the music?

Back on New Year's Eve, they played Daft Punk's One More time and Sandstorm by Darude.

Does anyone know who does the music on the Local on the 8s?

Yesterday, I heard Rocket Man by Elton John on the local on the 8s at 7:18PM CST in honor of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. One of my favorites.

I miss those days from summer 2011 and beforehand so much. i pray daily they bring these monthly jazz playlists and 2 minute locals back, but I know that will never happen again so I have to live and move on from that. It's great to enjoy moments like this back then. Especially this song from 11 Augusts ago!

The IntelliStar 2 xD on Spectrum in Redding has been down for a while.
