This is a new one

The IS cut out mid-forecast but the LDL stayed on...

EDIT: Cut out again at :08, no audio and no LDL this time. I think our IS is re-booting.

The music also cut out on the satellite feed.

I wish they would remove the extra blue box space on the DirecTV IS's corner ads.. Ive seen it covering up some data on the SLF :hmm:

However, what I dont get is why the Dish STAR doesnt have this box.. the Dell ad running today had the blue box around it in the corner ad on DirecTV but Dish's doesnt :dunno:

(video of it on Dish)
Satellite Local Forecast on July 14, 2011

I think that this box is on the DirecTV IS ads because of the DirecTV LF app's window to show the ads and so the animations in the background dont distract the viewer.. but it makes no sense
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

It's due to the DirecTV LF App. They want it to fill the ad space.

Complaints? Surprised they even took action with a request like that
It obviously depends on who complains about it... they don't listen to FB/Twitter complaints but moreso on what they receive over the phone.

Wrong. They listen to complaints via social media more than emails and phone calls.

It'd have to be pretty recent...that's the new SD Sat LF.

Some more changes to the SD satellite LF: at 12:28 CT, the five-day forecast became a three-day one. The TWC logo is built into that slide. You can tell when the weather.com and TWCM logos overlap the regular one.

I've always wondered why, on the Weather Bulletin screen, most of the warnings are listed like this:
Tornado Watch
Excessive Heat Warning

etc.

But that the Excessive Heat Watches are listed as:
Excessive heat watch
