It should still be posted there just so they know its happening again. The similar issue I mentioned (warning crawl) was also very sporadic, but they were able to fix the problem.

Not long ago, I saw a severe thunderstorm warning and a flood advisory scroll on top of the new LDL that covered the lower third of the screen...and I thought a new warning system would accompany the new LDLs.

That's how the warning crawl works right now with the expanded LDL.  Whether something will change in the future, I have no idea, though, to be honest, I don't know what kind of change is possible, short of creating a THIRD size of LDL to fit within the larger window, but shrunk a little to fit the warning crawl.  Sounds like a good idea, in my opinion, but the amount of programming work sounds too absurd for such a thing to happen.

I'm a little sick of this horribly configured regional map...

Also, any particular reason they are airing overnight music on the local forecasts?

Probably a glitch in the system since it's usually not configured to air regular playlist music on Friday evenings.

On a positive note, if I catch the overnight songs I wanted, I might be able to get some sleep tonight :P

Most Likely to counteract  the time missing because of the severe coverage and no movie.

Makes alot of sense to put Overnight on right now.

They must don't like putting Canadian cities on there.

Canadian and Mexican cities don't show up on current maps, only forecast maps.

That's actually Toronto. Many upstate NY Intellistars have Toronto on their regional maps.

They must not like putting Canadian cities on there.
I doubt it's intentional... judging from how quickly Intellistars were configured years ago.

But also, look at this metro map. Mount Pleasant is placed where Clare actually is, Shepherd is placed where Mount Pleasant is actually located, and Shepherd is placed where Alma is actually located. It's beyond me why Shepherd... a town of about 1400... should be on any Intellistar map.

I think some major foreign cities, such as London, do appear, but most don't. See Anahauc, Mexico in this video:
