For a short time, 22434's forecast title was OAKMONT-NEW KEN.-NATRONA HEIGHTS which barely fit, and was a horrible title in my opinion. It was soon renamed ALLEGHENY VALLEY AREA, which is much better.

Yes, all the time due to hot weather.

I've seen STARs showing that, yeah, but the UV index can only get up to 10 here.

Felix, it doesn't have to be hot for the UV index to be high.

It's usually the same in our area, yet there's more sun in the winter than in the summer.

Alex, I've seen this lots of times during a sunny summer day.  It happens more often than you think, especially in the South.

Yes, all the time due to hot weather.
Felix, the UV index determines the intensity of UV radiation hitting the ground, so sun angle and cloud cover are the major factors.

Is it not supported by the Intellistar to have an Int'l site on the metro map? I noticed when I was in Romulus that Essex, Canada appeared on the forecast metro maps, but not the CC metro maps. I also see that Felix's Intellistar is this same way with Mexico.

Why is that though? If there is a legit reporting site inside the metro map, there should be no reason why a legit Int'l site shouldn't appear

Simply because the metro maps are no longer configured to use actual reporting sites - they can only show HiRAD observations.

Makes sense, since the metro CC maps premiered after HiRAD did.

I seems really odd to me though that the regional map is configured to show legit Int'l reports, but the metro map isn't.

I think that's because the regional maps were around WELL before the metro maps were added around the debut of HiRAD so it's able to get observations.
