Wait, what do you mean "Finally!" when you refer to the July 2007 music?  Last time I checked, it's not July yet, so I don't know why you're acting like they should have done it sooner  :-\

Well, I've been waiting for the year to end ALL year long, so it'd be great if I could celebrate it on maybe December 28th or 29th this year.

Sounds like a plan  ;)

Ofiialy started today! When i woke up, it was new music. I like the new music guy for his being on time, but
his selections aren't nearly as good as Steve's.
Title: Re: Finally! New July 2007 Music!

I'm hearing new music too, on the first day of July! I Didin't know there was a new music guy. Steve doesn't work as the "music Dj" anymore? I would have to agree that the new man is on time with new music but the selection is a bit cheesier. If he plays Eddie Reasoner, then I'll take back what I said!

Yeah, they got a new music guy back in May. I think he'sdoing Quartered playlists now. not sure tho.

Yes, every song on it so far sucks horribly, except for the distinct sound of Along The Way - Brian Hughes that i heard, which
wasnt played since like 2004.

Neither was I, but they were MUCH better than what this guy is playing. Does anyone know what the new guy's name is?

I was okay with Steves earlier playlists (2001, 2002, 2003) but later on they got really bad.

Do we even know exactly what it is this guy is playing? We know what the songs sound like, but do we have any actual idea about the identity of any of these songs?

You may be sick of them, but that doesn't mean that theirmusic sucks. It's just not your cup of tea anymore, thats all. Frankly, I'd rather hear Brian Hughes and Ryan Farish over some of thecrap that I've heard on TWC recently.

I'm hearing a bunch of guitar songs, a song with a chorus in the background, Wildflower by Ryan Farish, Together We Will Conquer by Ryan Farish and a Brian Hughes song.

I personally do not like this playlist. I have heard Together We Will Conquer more times than I can count. The other songs on the playlist do not sound like forecast music to me. In fact, they all sound the same to me!

Me neither. The new music guy's choice of music is awful. There are are way too many jazz songs. A goodb playlist to me has less jaz music, good Ryan Farish music, and songs that are low toned/techno type.

I wish they would play GOOD ryan farish music. Niot the horrible stuff on his new Everlasting album, but good
classics from either his Daydreamer album, or Selected Works.

And man am I sick of Brian Hughes!!! :censored:

I agree. The only good song from Ryan Farish's Everlasting album is Wildflower. The other songs in the Everlasting album are awful. It's about time that Brian Hughes needs to be removed and Eddie Reasoner's music be played. Some of my favorite Ryan Farish songs include Groove Factor, Letting Go, HIghland and Sunflower. And boy I wish I knew the names of those two mystery Ryan Farish style songs from November.

Indeed they are. I do however believe the jungle song to be a Yvonne Ayers song. The problem now is which one. As for the second song, it sounds similar to this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a564XLq_e5A (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a564XLq_e5A)), which was identified as Donna Sue Kilpatrick. She only has 6 or 7 works in her BMI account, so it wouldn't be that difficult to check.

Its impossible to make a judgement that quickly. You've heard one month of his selections. Give it some time. Once you've heard two or three month's of his selections, then you have a little more room in which to make a better judgement.

You can't unless you happen to have access to her BMI account (and you don't unless your in television, or in some other industry that licenses BMI music, sort of like how Network Music works).

Maybe I should ask Steve Hurst himself. Does anyone have his email?

E-mail addresses are not allowed to be posted on the forum for privacy purposes. I am going to see if I can contact some of these artists and get their permission to put their contact info on a contact an artist page, much like what Matt has on TWCC.
