It's a half-assed job indeed. I'd rather wait a while to see a good product come out, rather than seen a cheaply put product out in a hurry

Okay then. it's like cutting out the SD forecast with scissors and pasting it in a new background with glue. And yet, it's still crap! Even worse than what I have right now.

1. They may of been waiting for the weather star HD to be at there headend.

2. This a just a test and they just reused the old one with a new HD coming soon.

3. A full HD one will come with the HD gui and or the NEW direct tv tivo HD.

You all do remember this is running on a  satellite box right? I imagine just doing this is about maxing out the box as it is. Better than nothing I would say. Perhaps if the companies who make these boxes finally upgrade the specs you can get something better in the future.
