I like Take 5 from the September 2005/2009 lists. Glad it's back.

I can't wait to hear the Primetime list. It better be good.

I'm not holding my breath. Expect repeats and ill-fitting songs to continue.

No but shocked theres a list in general.. its odd though that the new trend is to have select songs replay around the same time and the fact Wizards in winter is technically a Christmas song..

This playlist should have been held off until the New Year so no Xmas songs will be played. But, yeah, I'm not going to care for listening to Xmas music on Groundhog Day.

Alex, I've merged your playlist clips topic into this one.  There's no need to have duplicate topics running for this same subject as we'll have multiple areas of discussion on the same thing soon.  You all can keep using this one for everything you need.  I'm just glad to hear you all are enjoying a new playlist at last.

I made the merge because I received several complaints about the duplicating topics.  Furthermore, your playlist clip topics never received much attention on their own.  It's just easier for all of us to have it in one place.  Besides, more people may watch your clips here in a more active thread.

This the best overall playlist since August. There are many repeats, but good repeats.  I'd give it 8/10 overall.

Morning

Best - Acoustic Highway, The Wave, Rhapsody in White
Worst - Pure Prairie League

Daytime

Best -  Turn it Up, Physical Therapy, Daybreak, Take 5
Worst - None

Primetime

Best - For Love, Outa Space, Song for America, Home Alone theme
Worst - Butter

Overnight

Best - Truth, Simplicity, Love
Worst - None

@TampaMill Butter is on overnight not primetime

Best

Morning: Unknown Rock song and The Wave
Daytime: Physical Therapy and No Limits
Primetime: Outta Space, For Love
Overnight: Truth Simplicity and Love

Worst

Morning: Early Morning Riser
Daytime: None (love them all)
Primetime: Home Alone theme (I'm gonna laugh if this song continues into February...)
Overnight: About half the playlist (a lot of the songs sound the same to me)

Both will be separate but might be awhile before it shows up on the http://weather.com/tv/music (http://weather.com/tv/music) website.

You have remember it took 2 weeks for the Oct/Nov playlist to be released on the website so with the Christmas list coming the processing time will vary.

Post by: Zach on December 06, 2010, 04:18:04 PM
For some reason, I'm not allowed to quote posts but Zach, are you really that desperate for a spreadsheet file? It'll come out when it's finalized. Obviously it's not finalized because TWC is still adding new songs to the playlist like October's. Seriously, nobody has patience on anything these days. If anything, TWC is probably upset at us since people here are bombarding them with calls and emails demanding for an early xmas list, playlist info, star updates, etc.

Most of the songs in this playlist have been identified. You can get a good chunk of the song ID's from Alex's clips on YouTube. I too, will upload the rest of the overnight/morning songs as soon as I get all 10 recorded. But y'all really need to be patient..depending on a single person for everything isn't going to get you anywhere.
Wow, doesnt that completely void what your perspective of TWC music is?

Nowhere in my post did i say i was desperate for the list, although itd be nice for me to see the list

Oh and for you tube... i hardly have the time to go on and watch all of my subscriptions

EDIT: Thanks Mike, not bad of a list! I like it  :)

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say the song I posted here is by Randle Chowning, but I'm probably wrong.

Starlight And Broken Strings - Randle Chowning (https://twctodayforums.com/music/2010/December/Overnight/Starlight%20and%20Broken%20Strings%20-%20Randall%20Chowning.mp3)

The song is vocal though, this is a remixed version.

Song for America is a nice song, but it is overplayed. I have heard it like a half-dozen times for the evening already. I am still waiting to hear Outa Space.

Actually his last song (or at least the last time he was given credit) was Pork Rinds and Brandy from April/May/June 2007. And I see TWC has once again spelled his name wrong... it's Randle!

Don't know the name, but I like it. It's my favorite from the overnight list that I've heard so far.

Great Overnight Song - Dec '10 Playlist (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKAmlicTRs4#)

The song is "Moonlight On The Water" by Billy Joe Walker Jr from Treehouse. This was one of the first so called New Age CDs I found back in 1987. Heard it for the first time early overnight. Pretty cool to hear this tune after 23 years of its release date. "Moonlight" along with another song I haven't heard yet according to the playlist "Midnight Romance" were two of my favorite tracks from that CD.

You know, I've just noticed a lot of songs in the playlist have weird titles like "Come Undone", "Handle on You", "In a Square Circle", "Physical Therapy", and so forth. I thought it's food for thought lol even though this playlist is going to end by this week or early next week.

Thinking of what you said you're right i didn't think they were going in that direction until you pointed that out.
