Connecting a WS Jr. To PC
« on: April 07, 2014, 11:16:12 PM »
It says very clearly in my manual that I needed to connect them via null modem cable and when the PC powers on to press enter 2 times. I did this and it did nothing to show up the crawl message terminal. Any help?   :dunno:

Below is a very quick drawing of my setup. (I draw WAY better in real life.)

Don't hurt yourself... the diagram wasn't needed :smoke2:

You aren't supposed to press enter twice at BIOS... you need to use a terminal emulator for whatever operating system you have. Settings should then be:
2400-8-N-1

Or replace 2400 with whatever the baud rate is set to on the Jr. Default is 2400bps. Also, just another thought... you should try keeping all of this stuff to one thread. That other one was hijacked so I'm just throwing out my thoughts.

Thanks for your advice! My operating system on the PC is a 2001 edition Windows XP.

I'm not that good w/ this stuff anyway so some things get confusing..  :pinch:
