Post by: Mike M on November 26, 2009, 10:53:45 PM
Now that we have heard all of the normal playlists for this year, which was your favorite? Mine would have to be April/May  July/August comes a close second

Jan 09 by far. Then it was Feb 09, Oct 09 and April/May 09. Most of the playlists tho were crap for this year. 2008 was a unique year in lf music and this year was a downright disappointment.

I loved the March playlist. Best one ever.

I loved the March playlist. Best one ever.
Meh, it was alright. It was basically a repeat of the Dec 08 list with so many reused songs, some used 4 times in less than a year, on that list.

My top 5 songs for 09:
Ryan Farish- Lights up the Sky (Oct 09)
JWB- Midday
Art of Noise- Moments in Love
Josh Harris- Summer Song
Chris Geith- Blue Horizon

In order
January (good start for 2009. Back when rock music wasn't in lf. Reminds me of July 2008. 10/10)
April/May (last playlist before there were 20 rock music in a playlist. Good playlist and a huge improvement from March. 9.5/10)
October (This playlist was good. Daytime got improved. Primetime was good. 9/10)
February (At first, it was alright, but I thought it was a good playlist. 8.5/10)
September (Alright. Daytime's ruined thanks to Wipeout and the Dixie Chicks song. Primetime was still good, but less jazz. 7/10)
June (The start of rock music being used in a playlist regualy. Primetime was still good. It was right overall. 7/10)
July/August (Just terrible. Enough said. 6/10)
March (Same as Jul/Aug. I hate this playlist due to the repeats. Most were from 2008, but they should have repeats those much later rather than this playlist. 4/10)
Nov/dec (Just the worst. Primetime started going downhill. This playlist ran too long. 3/10)

I like the April/May playlist as well. I have to say I partially like the October playlist.

July/August was the big winner for me (partially because of Terminal Frost  :whistling: :bleh: )
But I also thought that the January list had songs that perfectly matched the weather that month and the time of year
Then comes April/May

You really showed a lot of interest in Flight when it aired back in July/August, so I'm surprised that's not on your list lol :P
I've already made mine, but am hesitating to upload it. Sorry Mike, I'm copying your idea :bleh:

January and July weren't too bad.

I don't know, it seems like 2009 was a terrible year for music on TWC. NBC took the rich tradition away of the smooth jazz and non-vocal music away. WUWA playlist is the overall worst.

Obviously, I still have a passionate interest in Terminal Frost. I've downloaded the song, and discovered it timed in at 1:53 and timed out at 3:53 (during 2 minute LFs).  I recorded it in 6 different locations- Lansing, East Lansing, Grand Rapids, Alpena, Bad Axe, and Novi. How's that for obsession? :P
