i figure i would put this question out there, incase i was the only one that noticed..
did twc change the basemap used for the first two frames on the SD satellite LF, and also, for on-air, the basemap used for animating IR satellite.. ??

The topographical basemap on TITAN was changed on Monday. Last I checked, the precip forecast and thunderstorm forecast is coming from TITAN, and anything on the TITAN machines on air had their basemaps changed to a lighter map to see the radar better.

Interesting, the HD LDA/LDL combo and the 33% SD LDL still have the older basemaps
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

IIRC, those aren't related to TITAN.

Oh, then, maybe it's just a diffrent version of Titan....? Or maybe they are just taking some time to update.

They are TITAN, but they are a completely separate product in a completely different department. That department would have to go in and change them, but I don't see the need to be honest.
