I just got in touch with her today and this is what she told me

Peace Alejandro, (I've always liked that name)
        Please tell your peeps at TWC Today that after 2yrs (and even travelling to London to shop for a recording deal) - I finally, finally got some interest from a major label here in the States.  It's Head's Up International a division of Concord Jazz.  It is home to some really impressive musicians - (as usual, out of a roster of approx 25 - there are only 3 women - Where are the female musicians??!!!).
    Periodically I've sent email's to the guy listed as President on their website notifying him of upcoming gigs and amazingly last week he sent a reply requesting that I send him my music.
    From his last email (yesterday) he apparently was on his way out-of-town when my package arrived last friday, so he handed it off to his 'Marketing Director' for a preliminary listen.  So cross your fingers, make appropriate sacrifices to whichever deities light your world - I might just have product released this year on a MAJOR LABEL.  This means access to the kind of Marketing, Promotion and Tour Support that I've never, ever had.  In this economy Alejandro this is nothing short of a miracle.
        U might ask the guys at TWC Today if they'd feel up to getting as many folks as possible  to email just a general sort of note saying "Hey, have you heard about this fantastic artist Jeanne Ricks - We enjoy her music so much on The Weather Channel and we would like to hear more.  You should really check out her music!"  And then maybe attach your favorite 'YouTube' song clip.

Thats great news!. I think I was one of the first people to email Jeanne about Heads Up, based in my home state (Cleveland, OH). I have over 30 heads Up titles.....I would love to add her TWC themed CD to my 887-CD collection

So, I visited TWCC just now, and what did I see? This very same thread. 

Jeanne came to us, not them.

She wasn't banned, her account was deleted accidentally when they were deleting accounts due to inactivity. I guess she never got around to joining the forums again.

Somehow I didn't buy that.  The way it happened just doesn't add up to that. Her account accidentally got deleted just days after she joined? What the hell are Matt's criteria for account deletion? And how exactly DO you accidentally delete a person's account? My theory: someone thought she was an imposter and booted her.

I wouldn't have bothered to rejoin either quite frankly. If I had been fed that excuse I'd have thought it was a pretty damn weak one.

Oh, and that's a prime example of why I don't do account deletions here. It's conceited, and makes you look pretty bad if you screw it up.
