Top 100 Greatest Songs of This Decade?! (2000-2009)
« on: July 18, 2009, 03:29:27 PM »
I don't know if anyone has beaten me to this topic, but what are the greatest TWC songs of this decade. Maybe a top 100, or a top 50 can be done to determine that.

It is 2009, and the end is near (I was just thinking about the greatest TWC songs of the 90s--so many. 10 Years since Ficara's "Craig," I believe, to name one!)

I just wanted to see what everyone's favorite's are since is see the fantasy playlists all of the time.

Let's have a little fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trade Winds by Eddie Reasoner from Special Weather *(also used 2001)
The Birthday Song by Joshua Redman from Elastic*

All Tucked Out by Steve Glotzer from Life Imitates Art*

I also found 2003 a rather lean year for good TWC music

Passage by CC Gilmore n/a (New Jazz*)
Up All Night by Ron Fattorusso from Up All Night*
Candle Light by Ed Stone n/a*
Head To Toe by Birds of a Feather from Best Of*
Second Look by Samuel Lincoln n/a (New Jazz*)

many others, such as Samuel Lincoln/Cocoon or Under The Stars and Steve Glotzer/Quien Sabe also can be easily subbed in there too

2005 also had an abundance of good TWC music, here is my top 5:

Smooth Ride by Ursula Suzana Pacheco from U.S.P.*
Winged Mammal Theme by R.E.M. from Drive*
Sunlight Dance by Dan Spollen n/a*
Once More by Drene Ivy n/a*
Make Or Break by C.C. Gilmore n/a*

others, such as Dan Spollen/Rising Tide, Here and Now by Jill Switzer, Gerald Veasley/Celebrating Sipho and Song for Jane/Steve Glotzer also are outstanding songs

2006:
Take Off by Randall Chowning n/a*
Climbing Green Hills by Mark Krurnowski from Suspended in Mid Air*
God Moving Over the Face..... by Moby from Moby Songs*
Enter The Bond by Bernie Williams (my distant cousin) from The Journey Within*
Song For Mary Cruz by Jay Soto from Long Time Coming*

also may others here that are stand out's, such as Caught In the Moment also by Jay Soto

Kim Hansen - Always There - n/a*

Doug Markley - In Touch - Lift*
E Power - Not Supposed to Be That Way*
Cortez/Brown - Happy Thoughts - Crystal Winds, Vol II*
