Gary Oleyar
« on: August 21, 2008, 12:35:09 PM »
I was looking through Eddie Reasoner's BMI repertoire and noticed another composed next to his name, Gary Oleyar. Does he compose music along with Eddie? What is he? A pianist? guitarist? Never heard of him.

I saw that too. That name sounds so familiar. I think Gary Oleyar had music air on TWC awhile back. But AFAIK, nobody has been able to obtain his music.

EDIT: I was right. He had one song air on TWC called "Against the Wall".

I haven't been able to find a clip of it anywhere. It aired in January 2003.

It aired back in January and February 2003. If anyone has a clip of it, please share it, as I might remember this song (I remember quite a few other songs from this timeframe).

Here's the scoop: Gary plays with Eddie in a number of his TWC songs. He is a violinist. He also had a song of his own air on TWC back in 2003, called "Against The Wall'. I don't have a clip, nor have I ever seen one. I have searched for Gary repeatedly with no luck.

Why is "Clear and Cool" listed in his profile? There isn't any violins in that song.

Whoops, I meant "Seasons Changing".

Well the new song Altostratus has him as a composer, so I bet there'll be violin in that song.

He's a Guitarist/Violinist. And yes, Clear and Cool does have violins.

In that case, he probably did the guitar.

Or, he simply just helped writing it.

I just found on a site (http://www.brianmcardle.net/music.html) the song "Against The Wall" by Gary Oleyar.. its retitled "The other wall" on the site and it's "Jersey Shore" by Eddie Reasoner. Gary Oleyar is a violinist, so it makes sense since that song features violin. The lengths check out too. Jersey Shore is 4:28 and The Other Wall (Against the Wall) is 4:30

So this song is only available at the site you provided?
