Here's a pic.
Derek, I have included a picture of the radar just for you.
Tuner videos to come :)
-
holy crap that's awesome!
-
Awesome find! This may be one of the closest 4000's to my area.
Do you know the cable company that serves that area? I know most 4000's seem to have trouble displaying the cable company logo so it may be hard to find out.
-
That 4000 looks like it's still in pretty good shape. The pictures suggest that there's not much degradation at all. How did you even find this one, Zach?
-
It was when I turned on TWC at the hotel I was staying at.

It just skipped the CC screen, but had an LDL at the beginning with the Satellite LF just now.
First video

Here's something that might bring you to the past.
-
Good catch! This seems to be a pretty healthy 4000, not many still show cable company logos correctly because of how severely distorted they are.
-
I'm starting to now see signs of degradation :(
Attached is a picture of the radar banner. It has a gray bar atop.
And I spotted a green LDL overlaying the Satellite LF.
-
A lot of 4000's have always had that grey bar. It's not degradation AFAIK.

Wish you had gotten that recorded. Id like to see a Coastal Flood Statement
-
Nice! It's cool to see another one.

That's a somewhat common occurrence for the 4000. It's been happening for years.
-
Damn, this is the second 4000 I've seen confirmed in Virginia as of today.

It's from Wakefield, VA
Btw, here's the K Flavour before I started seeing that weird LDL overlaying the Satellite LF:

Now I'm really jealous. :(
I notice a slight degradation on the radar banner on this 4000, notice how the color codes on the legend change colors slightly.

Here's the Station ID video:

Btw, I was talking to Vic, and he says that it reminds him of weatherdaddy's old 4000 because of the song.
You can see his 4000 here with Layla: http://www.weatherdaddy.us/4000/Weatherdaddy-050721-1008.wmv (http://www.weatherdaddy.us/4000/Weatherdaddy-050721-1008.wmv)

Here's an odd glitch that seems to occur everyday at 5:18 PM ET and 5:28 PM ET.

Nice find! Is there any chance you could capture the vertical scroll? There aren't many videos of how it behaves floating around..
-
Hopefully I can go back some time next year, and I'll see. If the admins check out my IP, you'll see I'm back home with boring satellite. :(
