Title: A Different Side of the TWC LF Music Equation
Post by: gt1racerlHDl on July 05, 2009, 06:41:16 PM
I just spoke with Jim Lum about something because He is not getting Royalties for his music playing on TWC for about 1yr and a half now. Here's the True story you probably never heard before.

Quote
TWC is saying I have no plays in 2008 and no royalties due.I know they're about to make changes in the way music is selected but am waiting to see how it affects me.
       thanks again
        Jim

I Thinks its Totally Rude and Snobby for TWC to play Mr. Lum's music and then not pay him Royalites? His music did indeed play in 2008 so i dont see why TWC would like directly to him like that. That is the Worst possible thing to happen to any artist. IMO i think if TWC is going to do this they should just Stop playing music Altogether for Putting Many Artists like Mr.Lum in an Angry state like this.

Your Thoughts?

*Also if Jim Reads this and wants me to remove it i will gladly comply*

It's not the first time that's happened. I know of at least two other times where an artist's music was played, but they didn't get paid.

His song Shadow aired in Dec 08 as well as another song in November. They probably don't remember it was played back then.

That's...Illegal.

Well, corporations get away with murder these days anyway, so I'm really not that surprised to hear this.

I'd say it's his fault for not setting the terms before it being played. He may be SOL.

What are you, a lawyer for TWC? Did you read his contract or something? :hammer:

He doesn't have to. It's understood. Clearly you know nothing about how this stuff works.
