Title: XL Fonts and Icons?
Post by: IMadeYouReadThis on September 20, 2014, 12:44:48 PM
I'm going to buy a MacBook Pro with After Effects included next year, and I will begin emulating the XL when I get it. I have 2 questions, however: What fonts did the XL use, and where can I find the animated XL icons?

(If I posted this to the wrong forum, please move this to the correct one. Thanks!)

The XL uses a mixture of Akzidenz-Grotesk and Helvetica Neue for its fonts. Both fonts are commercial fonts, which would mean they're a lot of money and aren't free to obtain.

As for the icons, those are unavailable. There are some fan-made ones lying around somewhere, but other than that the official animated icons are unavailable.
