TWN used a modified version of TWC's WeatherStar until the late 90's. Now they use their own system called the PMX (short for Pelmorex).

As far as I know, for some reason, the 3000's ended up suffering severe problems in which forecasts became virtually unreadable at times, I dont want to call it degredation, but it was pretty much at the same level. I also believe some more remote communities kept the 3000's until the 3000 and 4000 were all replaced nationwide in 1997.

...TWN uses something called PMX now (PelMoreX, get it?). They rolled it out in 1997. (Ironically, the 4000 was made by Amirix, a Canadian company.)

In the first video, if you pay close attention at 5:40, you'll see a Tropical Storm status feature.
