I found some videos of the Memphis WxSTAR 3000 druring a snowstorm! Here is one of them from 1985:
I found it on YouTube. I asked the owner if I could use them. I am awaiting a reply from the owner to see if he cared. I planned to remove them if he said no. If you would like it removed now, let me know.

You have to wait for the owner to give you consent to use the video before you reupload it elsewhere.
Wow, that's a neat video. For some reason, I don't think I've seen videos of a real 3000. Still, it seems odd to me that the 3000 converted the temp into centigrade. Sure wish there were videos of a legacy STAR near here

I loved those old surface maps. None of the replacements have been as good, in my opinion.
