cuz i visit my dad on the weekends and he has COX. and i come back to my mom's place and she has WTC communications. so you might see two things, the intellistar, and the weatherstar 4000.

Regards.

It's not unusual. I think Fawn Grove, PA has two different cable companies too. Armstrong Communications and another one that escapes me but one has the XL, and the other has the 4000.

No, they only have Armstrong.. the XL serves Fawn Grove. Armstrong in Bel Air, MD has a 4000 but gets a TWC signal via QAM from Fawn Grove.

My parents live 1 hour away from eachother.

Mom's location: Wamego, KS

Dad's location: Topeka, KS
Now you get it?

Its because they're two different cable providers. Each Star costs money, and it's all about which particular cable company wants to fork out the funds for the latest technology. It's very common.
