Those of us old enough to remember, back in the day, during the Christmas season, TWC would play both the Christmas music playlists and the regular music playlists. Why would they do both, instead of playing the Christmas playlist exclusively?

When it got close to Christmas, it became 100% Christmas music.

Usually, when there's a technical error, music plays, but it stops and starts, even different songs in the same local forecast, playing parts of one song, then the music stops, then another song starts playing. But not in this case, the music plays through perfectly.
I don't think they changed the Prime Time Tonight playlist during the holidays.

There have been local forecasts with no music and sometimes they didn't make sense. Some years ago, early 2008 IIRC caught a local forecast that played some kind of creepy Halloween sound effects (wasn't even a song) .

I remember in 1991 TWC play regular and holiday music and then switched to all Christmas within a few days of the 25th. In 1992 and forward it was all Christmas from December 10-11 all the way till Christmas Day (except for the occasional regular song airing on a BTF)
