I think we saw a tropical transition here where a cut-off extratropical low sat in the Atlantic long enough to become a tropical cyclone. Lorenzo won't last long based on the forecast, so it poses no threat to us.

I think this is the first time Lorenzo, the name, has been used. It replaced Luis.
The M storm is also new this year -> Melissa replacing Marilyn.

You're like behind on names a few terms :wacko:
Marilyn was replaced by Michelle in 2001, which in turn was replaced by Melissa in 2007. And Luis was replaced by Lorenzo in 2001.
