Title: Tropical Season Time-Lapse
Post by: Mr. Rainman on October 02, 2010, 11:28:54 AM
Hi, guys.

As a fun project, I am attempting to do a time-lapse of satellite imagery of the Atlantic Basin during the month of September and beyond. The project isn't finished yet, but here is a preview video of what I have. I'm still about a week behind. Enjoy!

NOTE: The first hurricane you see is Igor. Karl is starting to form just as the video ends.

That's not a bad start.  As inspiration to help you finish, you should see the 2005 hurricane season time lapses on YT.  They're amazing!

Sorry, folks, but the project has been terminated. I'm going to try and archive radar images for 2010 and start the 2011 project. Feel free to delete this thread, mods.
