Leslie is getting into a very favorable area for development. Adequate sea temps and lessening shear will help it to become a near Cat 2 storm by the weekend. Also, little steering motion for the storm may help it to gather even more strength in the warm waters. Bermuda will have to watch this storm very carefully as it slowly drifts in their direction.

EDIT:
Unlike Kirk, Leslie will live long and prosper! :P

Leslie has become the sixth hurricane of the Atlantic season.  NHC has bumped up the winds to 75 mph, and the pressure is down to 987 mb.  It's still moving very slowly to the north.  Anyone in Bermuda should keep watch on this storm, and anyone in New England should look for some dangerous surf conditions in the next few days.
