I wonder if Europe will get any affects from this storm, or will is dissipate by then or move south? Isn't this unusual to have a storm moving this far east in the Atlantic?

Western Europe might get some impact from the remnants of this storm.  Europe and Greenland often get the brunt of many extratropical storms that were once hurricanes.  Keep in mind that it's October now, so the seasons are changing as the jet stream gets stronger and starts pushing further south to set up for winter.  It's more likely to see storms pushed this far eastward late in the hurricane season as a result.
