Cent. Pacific Hurricane Oho
« on: October 08, 2015, 06:26:38 PM »
It's now post-tropical, but I think this is the EIGHTH named storm for the Central Pacific this season - the normal is like, 4 tops.

I have never seen a forecast track like this one.......and it's just as the leftovers of Joaquin are about to visit the Portuguese coast.

Although Oho will be way offshore, a large swell generated by that storm is expected to bring dangerous high surf and breaking waves here on the Oregon and Washington coasts this weekend, according to the NWS.

And my local news station said that Joaquin wouldn't become tropical again. Will Oho stay as a remnant low or is there a chance of development?
