Title: Runtime Error
Post by: beanboy89 on November 02, 2008, 11:03:46 PM
Whenever I try to run the emulator, I get this error after the Local Doppler and before the Current Conditions load.

I'm actually having this problem myself. Is there a resolution for it yet?

Im sorry Gary. We have spoken about it. I just have been real busy and forgot to update you on the situation. Both Brian and I have been able to run your config with no problem. It must be an issue with your computer.

1. Make sure if your using vista to run as admin
2. Reinstall the program
3. Make sure no firewall or security software is blocking the program.
4. Make sure you have set your affiliate id.

So, I WAS running the program on my laptop, so I thought I'd give it a try on my desktop PC. Same result. I get the error at the same point that Billy said he did. I've been through the points on your checklist Martin, and everything checks out. I don't use Vista, I've installed the program again on an entirely different PC, I don't have any security program blocking it, and my affiliate ID has been set.

I REALLY want to use this, and eventually get a permanent key, but you guys gotta fix this issue first, whatever it is. If you all didn't run the program long enough than you need to do that, or else you'll never see the error.

What current conditions city are you trying to use? I was talking to Brian right after I posted this, and he was thinking it might have because the current conditions city I was trying to use only had four letters in it. I then tried a different city with more letters in it, and it worked.

The only one I ever use-Martin Airport. That's got enough letters I would hope.  :D
