Title: Extended Forecast shows letters and N/A Icons...
Post by: JamesBJSU on April 12, 2010, 06:25:56 PM
I just set up the WeatherStar XL emulator, and have run across this problem initially.  The Extended Forecast shows up with N/A Icons and letters and other characters.  I am asking if anyone else has run into that problem and if so, how did they fix it...Any help (even in Private Message) is greatly appreciated.  Thanks one and all...

Most likely a problem with that NWS area and how they report conditions. Please try changing the location. If that fixes it the location is a problem. Make sure you try an area outside of your current NWS office coverage area.

I changed it and it works.  Guess Alabama NWS Offices do their extended forecasts differently than other places.

Sadly the emulator uses a strict method for getting its data. MOST offices publish their data in the same format but there are a couple who change things. Sorry about that

Is this the reason why most Florida locations don't work?

Sadly yes
